The Opportunity: Business Development Manager
Morningstar has a compelling opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join its growing inside sales team in Sydney. This role is centered around the business development of Morningstar’s managed portfolio solutions to financial advisers. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record in identifying, prospecting, and qualifying leads generated from outbound marketing efforts. Key responsibilities include converting sales pipeline generated through digital marketing initiatives and upselling Morningstar managed portfolios to financial advisers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, qualify, secure, and win new advisers to recommend Morningstar managed portfolios for this job in australia.
- Upsell to advisers who have already entrusted segments of their clients to Morningstar managed portfolios.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of Morningstar managed portfolio solutions and their benefits for this job in australia.
- Collect and analyze data pertinent to advisers’ businesses to determine problems to solve.
- Use a consultative approach to understand adviser and practice needs and present compelling solutions.
- Make outbound calls and conduct zoom meetings with qualified advisers for this job in australia.
- Achieve required sales activity metrics and complete the sales process in Salesforce.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Additional education and accreditation valued for this job in australia.
- At least 3 years of professional work experience in business development or serving financial advisers.
- Results-driven with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
