Job Summary:

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician specializing in PLC troubleshooting, you will play a vital role in supporting production activities by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achieving equipment availability targets. Your primary responsibilities will include servicing, diagnosing, and rectifying faulty electrical and mechanical components of machinery and equipment, with a focus on programmable logic controllers (PLC) troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. PLC Troubleshooting: Perform PLC, Robot I/O configuration, loading programs, diagnosing errors/faults, and Servo drive programming to ensure smooth operation of specialized equipment.
  2. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance frameworks to minimize maintenance costs and reduce the risk of critical equipment breakdowns.
  3. Defect Monitoring: Set up an effective system for recording and monitoring defects and breakdown reports to minimize equipment downtime.
  4. Training and Development: Ensure that team members are adequately trained and updated with the latest methods, procedures, and requirements related to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  5. Emergency Repairs: Lead emergency repairs or troubleshooting of critical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production activities.
  6. Reliability Improvement: Plan and execute reliability improvement projects for critical equipment, focusing on new technology development and application.
  7. Vendor Supervision: Supervise external vendor maintenance and repair activities on critical equipment to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  8. Feedback and Suggestions: Provide feedback and suggestions to improve equipment stability and performance, based on hands-on experience and technical expertise.
  9. Inventory Management: Manage stock and supplies of critical equipment spare and replacement parts to support maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Control System/Process Instrumentation & Control or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or heavy operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledgeable in field instrumentation, including Process Control Instrumentation, Electrical Installation Works, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Technical expertise in testing, installation, repairing, maintenance, and inspection of instrument equipment.
  • Willingness to work in shifts to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
