Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager at Circle K:
- Store Operations Oversight:
- Assist the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Stationstore.
- Ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of employees/management.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and follow up on their execution.
- Recruitment and Hiring:
- Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring process.
- Identify suitable candidates and contribute to building a motivated team.
- Customer Service:
- Set an example for staff in providing fast and friendly service to customers.
- Uphold high standards in customer interactions and care about customer satisfaction.
- Merchandising:
- Contribute to merchandising efforts to enhance the store’s appeal.
- Ensure that displays and promotions align with company standards.
- Bookkeeping:
- Assist in bookkeeping activities, maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on financial documentation.
- Sales and Upselling:
- Upsell Morningstar managed portfolio solutions to financial advisers.
- Achieve sales goals and contribute to the growth of assets under management (AUM).
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate plans, ideas, and expectations to the team.
- Foster a culture of open communication within the store.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in the training of new employees.
- Safety and Security:
- Prioritize safety and security measures within the store.
- Address and resolve any safety or security concerns promptly taken in count.
- Physical Requirements Management:
- Ensure compliance with physical requirements such as standing, lifting, and bending.
- Uphold a safe and comfortable work environment for all team members.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data related to advice businesses through engagement with advisers.
- Identify areas for improvement and problem-solving.
- Sales Process Compliance:
- Complete required sales processes and metrics in Salesforce accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to company guidelines and standards in the sales process.
- Advocacy and Empathy:
- Advocate for the needs and concerns of the team is provided.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours a day
- Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift is required
- Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift
- Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands. This handwork requires eye-hand coordination and may involve climbing a ladder.
