I. Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Product Manager, your role will be diverse and impactful. Here are the key responsibilities you can expect:

  1. Developing Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with internal departments to create marketing initiatives aligned with business goals and revenue targets. Manage budgets for product development and marketing activities.
  2. Event Management: Organize conferences, events, and trade shows to promote engagement with external experts as speakers, fostering connections and promoting our brand.
  3. Product Knowledge Development: Become a subject matter expert in our product lines and contribute to training programs for Channel Partners (CP) applications associates. Benchmark proficiencies across teams.
  4. Customer Support: Provide support to Channel Partners, sales, and customer service teams in addressing product-related inquiries, issues, and training needs. Act as an escalation point for CPs and attend to individual customer requirements.
  5. Account Management: Assist in managing and retaining existing accounts, contributing directly to customer retention and service delivery improvement.
  6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Leadership and Sales teams, to drive the strategic direction of product lines and strengthen our market position.
  7. Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs): Identify, develop, and activate Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to create awareness and build peer-to-peer communication in support of our product strategy.
  8. Product Launches and Campaigns: Assist in the successful execution of product launches, marketing initiatives, and campaigns to drive growth.
  9. CRM Management: Document all customer-related activities in CRM in a timely manner.
  10. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for medical devices.

II. Requirements for this Position in Malaysia

a) Formal Education: Tertiary Scientific Qualification or equivalent proven experience. Marketing qualifications would be advantageous.

b) Competencies / Skills / Experience:

  • Essential: Experience in the Medical Diagnostic industry or Medical/Healthcare setting, Sales & Marketing experience, knowledge of Clinical chemistry, ability to work on multiple tasks, regional travel capability, effective communication skills.
  • Desirable: Experience in basic maintenance of Point of Care or Laboratory equipment, detailed knowledge of Radiometer products, CRM competency, familiarity with quality processes.

c) Language: Fluent in English and Malay.

d) IT: Competent user across Microsoft 365 applications, CRM.

e) Travel: 30% of estimated time, including regional and interstate travel. Occasional work outside business hours.

III. Personal Skills

  • Essential: Reliability, self-motivation, positive outlook, strong communication and presentation skills, customer-focused, teamwork skills, high integrity.
  • Desirable: Previous experience providing training, ability to positively influence others, empathy, collaboration, and a good team player.
